Kidz Kitchen is a specialized school meal program from Lunar Culinary Services, created to provide nutritious, CACFP-aligned meals for daycare and preschool programs across Wichita. Backed by more than two decades of large-scale foodservice experience, our team prepares fresh meals daily in a modern commercial kitchen with consistency, safety, and quality at the forefront. With an on-staff nutritionist and a trained culinary team, we simplify compliance while delivering balanced, kid-approved menus. What size daycare programs do you service?
We partner with licensed daycare centers and early learning programs of all sizes, from small classrooms to multi-room facilities. Whether you serve a handful of children or a full center, we can scale meals to meet your needs.
How many days a week do you provide service?
Kidz Kitchen offers weekday meal service, Monday through Friday. We work with each center to create a schedule that fits your operating days and enrollment.
How do I determine if my daycare qualifies for CACFP reimbursements?
Many licensed childcare providers qualify for reimbursement through the Child and Adult Care Food Program. To determine eligibility, we recommend contacting your local CACFP sponsor or state administering agency. If you have questions about how our menus align with CACFP guidelines, our team is happy to help point you in the right direction.
Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
Yes. We can accommodate a variety of dietary needs, including vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, and other common restrictions. Because these meals require additional planning and preparation, a modest fee may apply. We’re committed to helping every child feel included at the table.
Do you offer breakfast, snack or milk service?
We offer breakfast and snack options in addition to lunch. Our menus meet CACFP guidelines when paired with milk at breakfast and lunch. Milk can be supplied by your center, or we can include milk service in your pricing upon request.
